We submit all our advisor's web sites to the major search engines such as
Google, Yahoo and AltaVista. It can take up to three months, or longer,
for a search engine to register a new web site. It is also the case that
not all search engines register all sites for reasons known only to them.
The scale of the web is so enormous that Google currently has over 1.3 billion
web pages indexed!
In addition, some search engines like Yahoo now require commercial sites
to pay for a listing. Our fees DO NOT include payment to any search engine.
We will make simple changes to your site at no charge provided you electronically
send us the content. Simple changes include such items as a new street
address. We limit these to two changes per month.
More changes each
month incur a separate hourly charge. We will provide you with an estimate
of these costs. Please email us to discuss your needs.
Our service commitment and obligation is to provide the highest quality
web sites to our clients and ensure that these sites are fully operational
at all times. We do not allow anyone to "tinker" with a web site as this
might result in a site that does not function properly or crashes.
Our web sites are designed to dynamically "resize" to look great on any
monitor that is 15 inches or larger. If your client is using a smaller
monitor your web site will appear fine but the client will have to scroll
left or right to see all your web site contents.
There are also important differences between web browser versions like
Netscape and Microsoft Explorer. Our sites are designed for Windows machines
using the latest versions of Explorer and Netscape. There are older versions
of both these browsers which can result in some features not appearing
as designed.
An example of this is our sales presentations that may not operate on
older machines with older browsers. We strongly recommend that
all users upgrade their web browsers to the latest versions of Explorer
or Netscape.
There are also technical differences with Macintosh computers that result
in web pages on these computers sometimes looking larger than on Windows
machines.
